Nonlinear, nonlocal diffusion equations

Abstract: Nonlocal diffusion governed by fractional Laplace operators has attracted a lot of interest in the past decade(s). We show that wellposedness often easily follows from the theory of maximal monotone operators / subgradients on Hilbert spaces, and that this is the unifying theory for treating diffusion in \R^N or on graphs. We also consider the situation of fractional Laplace operators with Neumann or Robin exterior conditions.
