We are happy to announce that Professor Boris Mordukhovich, Doctor Honoris Causa of UBB, received an important award from INFORMS (The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences). More exactly, the 2025 Frederick W. Lanchester Prize, a top honor in Operations Research and Management Sciences, was awarded to Dr. Boris Mordukhovich  (Wayne State University and Doctor Honoris Causa of UBB) for his book, „Second-Order Variational Analysis in Optimization, Variational Stability, and Control,” as well as for his fundamental work in complex optimization and decision-making.
