The regional stage of the competition, organized with the support of the BBU, will take place on the 26th and 27th of March and will consist of:

  • 26th of March: 8 hours of online training where participants will actively learn public speaking, learn how to use their emotions to be more persuasive, practice the translation of complicated topics into simple language, and prepare for the specific format of the practical stage;
  • 27th of March: the original format of the qualifying competition for the next stage, in which the young researchers take part in elimination rounds of presentations of a scientific topic, lasting between 10 seconds and 3 minutes.

The training and competition aim to encourage young people studying or working in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, medicine, and other scientific fields of study to explain complex concepts, processes, theories, and research shortly and understandably to the public.

The winners will take part in the national finals in Bucharest.

Participation is free, but the places are limited. Those interested can register for the regional round at UBB from 26-27 March, here: https://bit.ly/GamesOfScience22
