Important announcement regarding the admission competition on bachelor’s level, July 2023

A candidate declared admitted/withdrawn/rejected and who requests withdrawal from the admission competition from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, from the July 2023 session, must go through the following steps:

  1. The candidate admitted on a tuition-free place who wishes to withdraw from the admission competition will access the admission platform at the address https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/
    1. He/she completes the withdrawal request ;
    2. The candidate who withdraws from a tuition-free place can pick up the original documents from the faculty secretariat, on working days, between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon, with the withdrawal request listed and signed in original, the delivery and acceptance protocol of the baccalaureate diploma and transcript of records, in order to request the issuance of the baccalaureate diploma and transcript submitted in original to the Admissions Committee. If the applicant is unable to pick up the documents in person, another person may pick up the original documents based on a notarial power of attorney and the request signed by the candidate.
  2. The candidate withdrawing from a tuition-paying seat must go through two stages:
    1. Fill in all the requested data on the admission platform at: https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/
    2. Complete the available form (at an address that will be communicated later) between September 18, 2023, and September 22, 2023, for the refund of the tuition fee paid upon confirmation of the place;
    3. If he/she submitted the original baccalaureate diploma and transcript, he can/she can request to pick them up from the faculty secretariat on weekdays, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, by submitting the withdrawal request listed and signed in the original, the delivery and acceptance protocol of the baccalaureate diploma and the transcript, processed by the Admissions Committee.
  3. Candidates who have transferred from a tuition-paying place to a tuition-free place can request a refund of the tuition fee paid between October 2, 2023, and October 6, 2023, by completing a form that will be displayed on the faculty’s website before the start of the academic year.
  4. Candidates who submitted an application for the new specializations, if they will be published in the Government Decision, can request the cancellation of this application by filling in the form at the address: https://forms.gle/iKiecUnG1WebZxR66 and will remain in the specialization they were declared admitted to. The application can be downloaded from here .
  5. Candidates declared admitted to already accredited specializations can no longer add the new specializations to their application form (if they will be published in the Government Decision).
  6. If published in the Government Decision, on September 1, 2023, the allocations to the new specializations and the number of allocated study places will be displayed.
  7. The places left vacant by the withdrawal of candidates from tuition-free places will be filled by the eligible candidates declared successful in the same specialization on tuition-paying places in the admission competition of the July 2023 session.
  8. On September 1, 2023, the number of places for specializations, for which a new admission competition will be organized in September 2023, will be published.
  9. If the new specializations will be organized, by transferring the candidates according to the option expressed by each one and depending on the place obtained and the form of financing, the remaining free places will be put up for competition in the September 2023 as tuition-paying places.
  10. All candidate requests related to the admission competition for the July 2023 session, submitted between July 27, 2023, and August 30, 2023, will be processed by the Admissions Committee on September 1, 2023. Requests for obtaining the original baccalaureate diploma and transcript will also be processed between July 27 and August 30, 2023, at the faculty secretariat, according to points 1 and 2.
