This procedure is intended for students wishing to take the bachelor’s exam in the September 2023 session.

1. The similarity of the bachelor’s thesis will be tested using Turnitin:
   • The group responsible will be contacted to receive access to the Turnitin software.
   • The similarity test of the bachelor’s thesis will be conducted using Turnitin without applying any filters.
   • If the similarity index of 30% is exceeded for well-founded reasons (e.g., bibliography, own published article, etc.), the filters to be applied are determined together with the scientific coordinator, and the similarity report is generated.
2. If applicable, a request for recognition/equivalence of a previous bachelor’s exam is submitted by email to the secretary of the specialization between August 25-30, 2023.
3. Students shall ensure in good time that they have access to the https://www.cs.ubbcluj.ro/apps/lucrari platform and that the scientific coordinator’s name appears on the platform.
4. Until August 31, 2023, at 23:00, the students will upload to the platform https://www.cs.ubbcluj.ro/apps/lucrari the following information:
   • the final version of the paper in PDF format, together with the abstract in English, which will be integrated immediately after the title page.
   • a ZIP archive containing the application (if applicable) and Annex 5 (Declaration of Authenticity of the thesis).
5. By September 1, 2023, 14:00 p.m., the coordinating teachers will give their approval; students, whose bachelor’s thesis has not received the approval of the coordinating teacher by this date/time, will not be accepted for registration for the bachelor’s exam.
6. Students register for the final examination between September 1, 2023, 15:00 p.m, and September 3, 2023, 20:00 p.m., by uploading the scanned documents to https://inscrieri.ubbcluj.ro/ifs/.

Please merge all the files into a single PDF file with the name of the form “Last name Parent’s initial First Name.pdf” – ex. “POPESCU I. IOAN-VASILE.pdf” and upload this document in the “Request” field in the registration platform):

• Birth certificate – scanned copy in PDF format.
• Passport – for foreign students.
• Baccalaureate Diploma – scanned copy in PDF format.
• High School Transcript – scanned copy in PDF format.
• Application form – after completion list, sign and send in pdf format.
• Only graduates who do not have a valid language proficiency certificate/attestation are requested to attach a scanned copy of their new language proficiency certificate.

Note: ID photos must be submitted by the graduates in physical format (2 ¾ size photos) to the secretary of the thesis committee at the time of entering the hall for defending the thesis. The 2 photos will be placed in an envelope, and the envelope will be marked with Name, Father’s Initial and First Name, Major, Line of Study, Bachelor’s Exam September 2023. For example:

For older graduating classes, graduates are requested to submit the following documents with their application for the bachelor’s exam (please merge all the files into a single PDF file with the name of the form “Last name Parent’s initial First Name.pdf” – ex. “POPESCU I. IOAN-VASILE.pdf” and upload this document in the “Request” field in the registration platform):

• Birth certificate – scanned copy in PDF format.
• Passport – for foreign students.
• Baccalaureate Diploma – scanned copy in PDF format.
• High School Transcript – scanned copy in PDF format.
• Application form – after completion, list, sign and send in pdf format.
• Only graduates who do not have a valid language proficiency certificate/attestation are requested to attach a scanned copy of their new language proficiency certificate. • Proof of payment of the fee for those who are in their third presentation for the bachelor’s exam or graduates of the year 2020 and previous years (1500 RON).

On September 4, 2023, the secretaries of the bachelor’s examination committees will display the distribution of candidates for the written examination of the bachelor’s exam, held face to face, whereas the schedule for the defense of the final paper will be posted later.

The calendar of the final examination tests:

Exam 1: Evaluation of fundamental and specialized knowledge, written test in the face-to-face system: September 5, 2023;

Exam 2: Presentation and defense of the bachelor thesis (oral exam) in the face-to-face system: September 7, 2023

NOTE: The Faculty Council reserves the right to make the timetable for the bachelor’s examination compatible with subsequent regulations that may occur.
