On December 28, 2023, on the occasion of the scientific visit of the vice-rector Prof. Dr. Adrian Petrusel to Taiwan, the title of Professor Honoris Causa of our university was awarded to Prof. Jen-Chih YAO (China Medical University, Taichung & National Sun-yat Sen University, Kaohsiung).

The awarding of the title of Professor Honoris Causa to Prof. Jen-Chih YAO was approved by the Babeș-Bolyai University Senate in 2019, the travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic making it difficult to award it. However, we were happy that, in the end, the title of Professor Honoris Causa ended up being handed to the distinguished Prof. Jen-Chih YAO!
