The 5th Workshop on Applied Deep Learning (WeADL 2025) will take place online on Friday, June 6^th and will focus on presenting some of the recent research results in the application of machine learning and deep learning techniques. Speakers from the Romanian National Meteorological Administration will introduce innovative applications made possible in meteorology, while researchers from the Babeș-Bolyai University will present applications in several other domains.

The first session will be dedicated to meteorological research and feature presentations on regional energy forecasting models, the adaptation of ML models to operational contexts, and the use of generative deep learning architectures for cloud image classification.

The second session will delve into applications of deep learning, including software defect prediction, medical visual question answering and the reconstruction of stimuli from fMRI signals using diffusion models.

The workshop is organized in the framework of the WinDMiL research project (PN-IV-P7-7_1-PED-2024-0121). WinDMiL aims to improve meteorological decision support at the national level in terms of faster decision times and higher precision and provide a working prototype of a software solution for remote sensing, data mining and assisting meteorological decision-making.
