Between October 2000 and September 2006, I was a PhD student at Dublin City University, where I investigated QoS routing using agile mobiles in MPLS networks. The actual research was done within the Switching and Systems Laboratory of the Electronic Engineering School at Dublin City University, from October 2003 to December 2003. The writing of the thesis was done in Romania (reason why it took longer than expected) from July 2004 to July 2006. My VIVA^* took place on 7^th September 2006, the graduation ceremony taking place on 7^th November 2006.

at the "Babeș-Bolyai" University's Communications Center. Between October 1997 and February 1999 I worked in this department as a volunteer.

PULSE (a Php Utility used in Laboratories for Student Evaluation)

A web-based application in order to facilitate "anytime, any place, any pace" access to learning content and evaluation info (e.g. individual tasks, marks, attendance stats). For more details about this instrument, please consult my 8^th and the 9^th international conference.

SINE (System with Interactive ackNowledgement and Evaluation of students work during laboratory sessions)

A Linux-based instrument with a web-interface that evaluates the students in an interactive mode with the help of both students and the teacher. For more details about this instruent, please consult my 2^nd journal paper and my 1^st romanian conference.

WinNet

A Linux-based application for network simulations. It uses GT-ITM to generate random network topologies based on which there can be created simulations by using NS and/or virtual network representation, using WAVE, used to analyze the network topology along with the random single or multiple metrics associated with network links. This instrument is presented in detail in my 5^th international conference.

Lines

The 'Lines' game implemented in JavaScript. This implementation was one of the applications presented for my Bachelor thesis. It was also used in the entertainment area of the student's page (https://scs.ubbcluj.ro/) (1997-2000).

NOTE

An CGI application written for Distance Learning students. They can see their grades on a web page using a password and a login name. (https://math.ubbcluj.ro/~sanda) (2000).
