Abstract and Introduction

Abstract

The thesis will include a one-page text written in English, entitled Abstract, which will contain a summary of your major results and a self-assessment of the novelty and originality of the thesis, including reference to the originality of the application.

The structure of the abstract should mirror the structure of the whole thesis and should represent all its major elements.

· The abstract should contain the answers to: 

o What did you do? Why did you do it? How did you do it? State methods.

o What did you learn? State major results.

o Why does it matter? Point out at least one significant implication of the obtained results.

  •  Context of the thesis.
  •  Motivation.
  • Objectives.
  • The structure of the thesis, as well as the connection between the chapters.
