Objectives

Objective 1: Investigated solutions and approaches related to efficient learning design activities

Activity 1. Analysis of practical problems by researchers and practitioners (teachers and students) in collaboration – Design of qualitative data collection tools: observation grid, interview and focus group guidelines – Data collection from practitioners.

Activity 2. Development of new solutions (e.g. technological) informed by existing design principles and based on qualitative data collected during Activity 1 – Design of quantitative and qualitative data collection tools to measure impact of new solutions: pre-post-tests, observation grid, interview guideline.

Activity 3. Iterative cycles of testing and refinement of solutions in practice. Conducting the study – by applying to different disciplines being taught at Babes-Bolyai University and Namur University – Data collection from practitioners (impact of new solutions).

Activity 4. Reflection to produce design principles and enhance solution implementation.

Objective 2: Investigate solutions and approaches regarding early misunderstandings diagnostic approaches

Activity 1. Analysis of practical problems by researchers and practitioners in collaboration – Design of qualitative data collection tools: observation grid, interview and focus group guidelines (phenomenological study) – Data collection from practitioners. Identification of frequent misconceptions on the basis of the practitioner’s speeches.

Activity 2. Development of concept inventories based on the data collected in Activity 1.

Activity 3. Concept inventory passations and refinement of teaching material in practice according to the data collected.  Conducting the study – by applying to different disciplines being taught at Babes-Bolyai University and Namur University.

Activity 4. Reflection to produce design principles for teaching materials according to identified misconceptions.
