CYPHER members maintain collaborations with companies active in cybersecurity and information technology, including Computacenter, Bitdefender, Snyk, Eviden, Palo Alto Networks, 3D Cyber and Cyscale. These collaborations support curriculum improvement, invited industry lectures, interaction between students and specialists, and attracting private funding for student scholarships and sponsorships.
Darius Vasile Bufnea and Adrian-Ioan Sterca have been involved for many years in the development and maintenance of the faculty's network, server, telecommunications and HPC infrastructure, while Alexandru Kiraly is directly involved in its operation as a faculty system and network engineer. The activity also includes authorised security assessment, vulnerability identification, penetration testing and vulnerability reporting, contributing to remediation and to strengthening the security of faculty and, where applicable, university infrastructure.
Darius Vasile Bufnea and Alexandru Kiraly provide CyberSecurity and Web Intelligence training and mentoring for SMEs and public institutions within the Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub, offering specialist support and knowledge transfer.
