The Joint Conferences on Mathematics and Computer Science were first initiated by Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, and the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj in 1994. Their topics include all branches of mathematics, computer science, and their applications, and it is open to the interests of the potential participants.
Following the tradition, the 10th Joint Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science (10th MaCS) will be organized in Cluj, Romania, from May 21 to 25, 2014.

The deadline for registration (extended) is April 7, 2014. Participants should register online, the registration form can be found on the conference webpage. Please contact the conference organizers for further details (macs 'at' cs.ubbcluj.ro). If there are accompanying persons, please register them, too. A special checkbox is available on the registration form for this purpose.
Abstracts:
The deadline for sending your abstract (extended) is April 10, 2014. Please download from our webpage and use the template file “macs-abs.tex”. After completing this file, please upload it using our website. The official language of the meeting is English, please prepare your abstract and your talk in this language. The deadline for acceptance is April 15, 2014.
Proceedings
The proceedings of the conference will appear in special issues of the journal Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai, series Mathematica and Informatica. The standard formal requirements of the journal apply for the proceedings, please consult the journal webpage (click on the bolded links above). Submitted papers must present original, non-published work of high quality. The submissions should be sent to the conference e-mail address (not to the journal), the deadline for submitting the camera-ready papers is May 1, 2014.
Payment:
The registration fee is 200 EUR. It covers the costs of the conference material, coffee and refreshment drinks during the scientific sessions, lunches, the banquet and the trip. It does not cover accommodation, please see the next paragraph. It is also possible to register with the option “no trip”, in this case the registration fee is 150 EUR. The registration fee for accompanying persons is 150 EUR (100 EUR without trip).
A very limited number of reduced fees will be available upon request addressed to the organizers for those participants from Hungary and Romania, who register before the end of February, with at least one paper.

In the same period Babeş Bolyai University will also host the conference History of Mathematics and Teaching of Mathematics. You are welcome to attend the talks from both conferences. If you decide to present a talk at this conference you benefit of a reduced fee of 50 Euros at the HMTM conference.
