The aim of the conference is to present aspects of the History of Mathematics, including its impact on the Teaching of Mathematics, to provide a forum to meet each other, and to give an opportunity for young researchers to present their results on the history of mathematics. We invite our colleagues, students, graduate students and other researchers to take part in the meeting.
The meeting will be hosted by the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár, Klausenburg), the city where the famous mathematician János Bolyai was born, and many other well-known mathematicians worked like Gyula Farkas (1847–1930), Gyula Vályi (1855–1913), Ludwig Schlesinger (1864–1933), Dimitrie Pompeiu (1873–1954), Lipót Fejér (1880–1959), Frigyes Riesz (1880–1956), Alfred Haár (1885–1933), Szőkefalvi-Nagy Gyula (1887–1953), Petre Sergescu (1893–1954), Dumitru V. Ionescu (1901–1985), Gheorghe Călugăreanu (1902–1976), Tiberiu Popoviciu (1906–1975), Gheorghe Pic (1907–1984), Caius Iacob (1912–1992).
