Internships with Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
Erasmus+ supports traineeships (work placements, internships, etc.) abroad for students enrolled in higher educational institutions in EU countries, Iceland, Norway, etc.

Traineeship abroad can last from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 3 months.

When in the year
When in the year?

During the summer months (July-September) or during the spring semester (March-May) only for 2nd year MSc students.

Financial Support
Financial Support

Trainees may receive an Erasmus+ grant as a contribution to their travel, subsistence costs, and extra funding. The company is also allowed to provide salary or financial contribution

Company

The employer's role

Employer's need to:

  • sign a Letter of Intent with the University;
  • wait for the nomination of the selected students;
  • complete the recruitment process as with any other candidate;
  • specify details of the internships in the Learning Agreement;
  • nominate a mentor, who will supervise the student during the internship and who will prepare the final report/evidence confirming the studentĀ“s stay;
  • if student is paid outside the Erasmus+, employer need to register student as an employee.
Learning Agreement
WHAT IS THE LEARNING AGREEMENT?

It is a document that specifies the formation plan that the intern will follow during the internship period.
It should be provided by the intern and have to be signed by 3 parties - student, home university and host company.
