S\u0103c\u0103rea , D. \u0218otropa, Knowledge Discovery and Visualization in Healthcare Datasets using Formal Concept Analysis and Graph Databases, 5th International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery in Healthcare Data co-located with 24th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2020, pp. 35-42<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract:\u00a0<\/strong>Among the major advances in Artificial Intelligence we<br \/>\ncan mention Knowledge Discovery, Processing and Representation.\u00a0Since in our modern society the healthcare system plays an important role and has a major impact in our daily lives, it lies at hand\u00a0to apply the aforementioned methods in order to discover relevant\u00a0patterns in healthcare databases and then to represent them in a way\u00a0which supports reasoning, decision making, and communication. We\u00a0approach this task by using two complementary directions, which\u00a0are then interlinked. On the one hand we make use of the graphical representation capabilities of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA)\u00a0and its powerful algorithms for conceptual knowledge discovery and processing. On the other, we use graph databases as a complementary visualization method of the extracted knowledge patterns. We<br \/>\nexemplify this approach on a particular medical dataset, highlighting\u00a0a 3D representation of conceptual hierarchies by using virtual reality\u00a0(VR).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keywords:\u00a0<\/strong>Knowledge Discovery, visualization method, Formal Concept Analysis , knowledge patterns<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paper:\u00a0D.
