It is a dynamic and constructive institution well integrated into society and oriented towards future, a future which it can design, prepare and build. An institution that can only be conceived within the framework that consecrated it, that of the <em>universitas magistrorum et scholarium<\/em> (\u201ccommunity of magistrates and disciples\u201d), of the community of teachers and students, of the \u201ccorporation of equals\u201d with an exclusive preoccupation for innovation and knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in the XVI century, UBB has become a leading university not only in Romania, but in the whole region, with 21 faculties and over 40,000 students.
