Aims
At the end of the course, the student should be able to typeset complex documents, including: mathematical formulae, drawings, diagrams, tabular material, algorithms but, also, the corresponding reference tools (index, glossary, bibliography).
Content
1. Basic notions
2. Typesetting text
3. Typesetting math I. (elementary approach)
4. Typesetting math II. (display equations, labels, AMS-LaTeX)
5. Tabular material in LaTeX (including the specific packages)
6. Graphics in LaTeX: the graphicx bundle
7. Commutative diagrams: the amscd and XY-Pic packages
8. Programming in LaTeX
9. Indices and bibliographies: the Makeindex and BibTeX programs
10. LaTeX and pdf: the hyperref package
11. Creating overheads with LaTeX: the beamer package
