Aims
To get acquainted with the problems related to image processing and with the way they are dealt with in different existing systems.
Content
The image processing course consists of:
- Digital image representation (through picture functions and words, quad-trees and binary trees),
- Image improvement (point and spatial operations)
- Image transformations (contour determination, skeleton, thinning, morphological transformations).
- Image concatenation.
- Image compression.
- Color spaces ((RGB – CIE-Lab, Luv, …)
