Basic elements of wavelets and multiresolution analysis.

Mathematical background:
Fourier transforms.
Scalar wavelets. Discrete wavelet transform. Construction. Applications: signal processing, numerical analysis.
Multiwavelets. Definitions and properties. Construction, application.
