Aims
The one term introductory Astronomy course cannot cover but partially the topics that are presented in the secondary school. Therefore, the main objective of this course is completing the astronomical general knowledge of the future secondary school teacher of Astronomy, in the cosmic era when Astronomy is one of the most dynamic fields od science. Another important aim is preparing the students for the MSc. studies in Astronomy organized by our Department.

Assessment
To establish the final mark we take into consideration the seminar activity, during them are presented essays also (30%) and the result from the written exam (70%).
